on the columbarium
with a bonus reflection of the gatehouse, the etching is of
Dundurn Castle, which is across the street from the cemetery

the names on the plate are for Peggy North (1942-) and Karl Gmell (1919-2009)

What's their connection to Dundurn Castle?

The reflection is really neat. Sort of a bonus.

Yes, I tried to read the names on that plate and got most of that. They must have paid a pretty penny to be inscribed in an entire window! I like that wreath around their inscription. It appears to be headed with a 'Bird of Paradise' flower.

Thank you for your continued contribution to Taphophile Tragics.

Gene: There is no connection. This freestanding columbarium has etchings of different local landmarks, one on each of the four sides. I showed the one with the Gore Fountain last month.

I have wondered at the few names on this memorial columbarium. Maybe, as Julie suggests, it is very expensive.

This is stunning, as HC said. Well done!
I find having a camera with me sharpens my eyes.
Cheers from Cottage Country!
