It's been awhile since I've been there- the last time I was at Mac was when my brother was a patient in his last days, but I'm not sure if the children's hospital is on the same campus. My neice was born there and spent the first couple of months in their neo-natal unit as a preemie.
I've heard of this hospital and my memory senses good things. I agree with the comments as to the way it looks, but like a book, one should not judge by its cover! :)

The McMaster University Medical Centre and the Children's Hospital are within the university grounds.
It looks like a big factory. I am sure they do good work in there.
It does look rather industrial. I hope it's more child-friendly inside.
