I think they must draw lots and the one with the short straw gets the job. :-)
They don't call them tall ships for nothing.
It would take me a lifetime to learn all those ropes, literally. Beautiful old ship and image.
You won't find any lift bridges in the Ft. Lauderdale area or anywhere along the Intercoastal. Too many tall ships! I think this gentleman has a very dangerous job. Can you imagine working up there in a storm?
