Van Elswyck

from our family farm
where you helped us work the land
to the greatest farm of all
guided now by God's own hand

the Van Elswyck name is well known in the local farmer's markets

It is a very attractive headstone. But it appears that Adrian died much too young!

A most unusual headstone shape! perhaps the closeness of the shape to the earth is symbolic of the family it represents! Lovely!

A handsome portrait of a young farmer who died too soon. I wonder whether some special etching technology is used to get a close likeness. And I wonder who he shares the headstone with...?

The name sounds dutch to me, they must have emigrated to the states in the past. I googled the name and is it still very common in the Netherlands.
