Kind of a tough looking saddle, though.

Now you are anthropomorphizing a bike - bikes don't have feelings like loneliness. That's just silly. Why, just the other day, I suggested to my bike that it would be good if it could ride a little smoother. It proceeded to throw me off into the ditch and continued on without me until I ran, caught up with it and apologized. But loneliness. I don't think so!

I like the classic look of this bicycle creature, though!

does this bike look like it has many friends? I think not. therefore, lonely.

Reminds of of a ghost bike which normally is painted entirely white.

My reaction is the same as Andy's . Occasionally in our area people will use a "ghost bike" to memorialize a biker who has been killed, placed on the spot where the tragic accident occurred.

I thought at first, of a ghost bike, too. but this was sitting in the yard between the garage and the house, more like a lawn ornament. perhaps an old family heirloom.

Old bikes have something romantic.

Hmmm. Never occurred to me to use a bike as a planter.

At first I thought this might be a ghost bike to memorialize a rider killed by a careless driver, but perhaps it is just a lawn ornament. Looks it could be tuned up and ridden.
