Really! Those north of the border have done that once already!!?? I did not know that.

So this is some sort of unknown burial memorial. But what are the two logos on the top of the plaque, the one on the right appears to be M&D whereas the one on the left appears to be BO with an upwards arrow between.,

I love the way this has burnished (if that be the correct word) to that copper-green.

i wonder if 'ship fever' is the same as the lack of vitamins that killed so many coming out to Australia as convicts. the name of which escapes me quite this early in the morning.

Want to check out a few more of your posts during this week just gone. I like the look of them. Thanks for your contribution to Taphophile Tragics - EVEN THOUGH YOU FORGOT TO LINK!! Tsk tsk ...

scurvy?

Yes, we did. some historians consider it senseless vandalism, while others see it as an act of revenge for the American torching of the parliament buildings in the capital of Upper Canada (not yet known as Toronto)

and I don't know what the initials stand for. nor could I find any info on Mrs F F Treleaven.
this memorial stone is located in an area known as Burlington Heights and overlooks Cootes Paradise.
